Nutri Troops…. An Olympic Legacy
Nutri Troops was founded by former Olympian Peter Bakare, a GB volleyball player who represented Team GB at the London 2012 Olympic Games. After studying animation at Sheffield Hallam University, Peter even went on to write a script for Channel 4’s Skins.
Swapping the volleyball court for the school playground, Peter set out to inspire children across the North East to change their diets and embrace healthier lifestyles.
Inspired by the story of the Olympic mascots and the dynamic four-year cycle between games, Nutri Troops presents an engaging narrative. It pits champions of healthy eating against advocates of unhealthy foods in an ongoing, spirited battle. By integrating digital gaming, competitive challenges, and rewarding participation in home activities, Nutri Troops empowers children to become true healthy heroes.
